Volunteering with us means more than just donating your time, it’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of others and becoming part of a warm, welcoming community.
Whether you have experience working with children and youth, preparing care packages , organizing events such as Fundraisers, Donations, or making virtual/handmade cards, writing a research paper, or simply want to lend a helping hand, there’s a place for you here. We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute, and we’re committed to creating a volunteer experience that is meaningful, supportive, and rewarding.
The form below is the first step to helping us get to know you a bit better. After you sign up you will be sent a Volunteer Sign Up form where we will ask for your contact details, your areas of interest, availability, and any relevant skills or experience you’d like to share. You’ll also have a chance to let us know if you have any needs we should be aware of to make your time with us safe and comfortable. Once we’ve reviewed your submission, a member of our team will follow up to discuss the next steps. Please note that submitting this form does not automatically guarantee a volunteer position; we may contact you for more information or a short interview to ensure a good fit.

💡 Fundraising Volunteers
Our fundraising volunteers play a key role in making our initiatives possible. Whether it's organizing bake sales, popsicle stands, donation drives, or seasonal campaigns, these volunteers bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every event. By helping raise funds, you’re directly supporting children and youth facing food insecurity, health challenges, or housing instability.From planning to promoting to participating on the day of the event, every effort counts. If you love teamwork, community impact, and making things happen, this role is for you!

💌 Card Making Program
Every week Growing Spoons will give out hand made/ digital cards to support either hospitals or homeless shelters, helping bring joy to youth who are facing different challenges.

Spreading Kindness with Handmade Cards:
Alongside with our fundraisers, we create cheerful, handmade and digital cards to be delivered to youth in the hospital as well as homeless shelters. Each card carries a message of love, encouragement, and hope.
🌟 Double the Impact:
Every donation supports both a youth's wish and delivers a smile through a heartfelt card.
🧒 Made by Kids, For Kids: Our fundraiser encourages young people to take part in giving back—by crafting cards, spreading joy, and learning the power of kindness.
How It Works
Volunteers can sign up to make cards at home, in schools, or at community centres.
We provide sample messages, design ideas, and basic guidelines to ensure all cards are positive and appropriate for children.
Completed cards are collected by our team, reviewed, and then packaged with gifts or care items during deliveries.
Who Can Volunteer?

🔬 Spoons Of Science
Spoons Of Science is our nonprofit’s research project focused on youth and child well-being. We break down science into clear, practical insights that volunteers can use in workshops, mentoring, or everyday work.
Whether you’re reading, sharing, or helping us create new content, your voice helps turn research into real impact.
Volunteers will research and write informative papers on assigned topics related to our mission. These papers will help raise awareness, educate the public, and support our advocacy efforts for children and youth in need.
